OK, this is the last thing I’d expect to see from GW.

They have just announced Warhammer Necromunda Roleplay. They describe it as a fully fledged miniatures driven RPG, fully compatible with the Necromunda range, plus it looks like there will be a core set with new models.

From what I have read, player characters are called Venators, bounty hunters from different clans in a rag-tag group, directed by the GamesMaster, who is referred to as the Arbitrator.

Core book is 224 pages, and 18 minis in the core set, plus 2 adventures, core set also has map sheets, blank character sheets and handouts.

    D100 mechanics alongside the D6

First releases will be the core set, and Journal Apocrypha: Adversaries book 1, where Kal Jericho and Scabs will make an appearance.

Now, let’s hope it’s a test bed for a new version of Inquisitor….

    RPG’s for minis ?
    seems excessive
I’d prefer to use them on tanks instead … 😉

I’m surprised that Cubicle7 hasn’t made Necromunda RPG yet to be honest.
They’ve covered pretty much every other aspect of 40k and AoS

Looks more like a boxed game pretending to be an RPG to be honest. If I wanted to play down dirty scum types I’d play Dark Heresy or Imperium Maladiction.

    it’s GW …

if they’re selling these things themselves then it is a box with stuff that has minis with a game attached.

Given that they’ve pretty much handed off all of the RPG variants of their games to a 3rd company it is kind of odd that they are doing this one themselves.

    Trying to riff off Frostgrave?

I like Necromunda as a setting, but I wasn’t impressed by the gameplay.

This is the first thing that GW has produced in 5 years that I’m actually interested in.

Whether I buy depends on how much it costs… and if they do the usual tiny print run that makes it impossible to get hold of.
