    MR IAN WATSON

    Grand Master of the European Science Fiction Society

    Passed away in Gijón,

    on 13 April 2026.
    May he rest in peace.

    His wife: Cristina Macía; daughters: Jessica Black and Laura Watson; son-in-law: Kris Black; and other relatives, readers and friends.

    They wish to inform you that the funeral service will be held on TUESDAY, the 14th, at EIGHT o’clock in the evening, in the auditorium of the Gijón-Cabueñes Funeral Home, after which his remains will be cremated at the same funeral home.

    Very sad. I absolutely adore his Inquisitor trilogy. First read it about 40-45 years ago? And have read it several times since.

    Just a couple of months ago I finished building the gour main characters from those books.
