Let’s be honest here.
Yes, other companies may have done this but GW has been pretty consistent in how it will squat models and entire units from one edition to the next.

Starwars legion hasn’t had enough versions to make that an issue. I’d also argue that something like the palace guard doesn’t belong in a game of that scale.  Like those golden spacemarines … they shouldn’t be running around on some backwater planet.

Heck … we’re talking about ‘squatting’ and the like, because GW erased an entire faction from existence (only for them to re-introduce them as the beardless twats decades later).

Wednesday I spent six hours riding; saw this wreck about 30 minutes outside home: 

 

found out today it was someone I knew. Had gone coast to coast as part of Rolling Barrage (a veteran’s ride), and was on his way home. A rut caught him literally 30 minutes (40km) from home and tossed him into the centre of the divided highway. He’s banged up, but alive.

You never know when your number calls.

Paint more minis, play more games, enjoy life more.

@sundancer I need the adrenaline of riding – but I’m also prepared for the moment when/ not if / I have my time. It’s partially a veteran thing, I think? All my rider buds served. They know and have seen things. So have I.

Happy Friday to everyone.  Goblin Gaming have started their big sale.  My mouse button may have slipped a number of times when I spotted the Darkstar Metallics were included in the sale.  Managed to avoid most of the miniatures, almost 🙂

I’ve been watching the Shatterpoint stuff ever since I got that great deal at the convention last year.
I did buy a few squad boxes when they got to a ‘reasonable’ price level (I ain’t paying 50-60 Euro for a set of 5 figures that’s silly money …)
Still no #Firesale …

I got a Shatterpoint starter set on eBay for an absolute steal because there was no lid for the box.  Given I’ll be storing it in RUBs anyway that wasn’t any sort of issue for me.  I pick up the odd box or two if they are below the £25 (€30) mark.  I’ve got most of the ones I wanted doing it like that.

I might think about Legion if there is a genuine fire sale but certainly not before that.  I absolutely do not need another mass miniature wargame.  Admittedly I told myself that before I bought into the last couple of those 😀

yeah … 25-30 Euro is the magic number for me as well.
I wish they had more classic era squads.
There are still a few I want (the two from the Baylan Skoll show), but only at firesale prices.
