Pulp Goons & Cold War Soldiers From Eureka Miniatures

Eureka Miniatures are bringing some more fun 28mm figures to the tabletop for your games, be they Pulp Sci-Fi adventures or Historical clashes on the tabletop. We start with some new Hooded Goons, sculpted by Kosta Heristanidis.

This new range of miniatures by Kosta comes armed with a plethora of weapons that you'd expect to be touted by goons from cartoons and movies of the 80s and 90s. That means loads of uzis and, of course, a minigun. You can't have goons without the addition of a minigun.

As we've been talking a lot about different retro-themed gaming over the last couple of days, these feel like they fit the bill perfectly. You could paint them in a variety of different ways, with plenty of bright colours, and then make sure they slot in nicely alongside some villain who leads them. I love that they're almost comical so they'd fit into all sorts of different games.

As you can see, you even get goons with deadlier weapons like the RPG, an AK-47, and there's also a high-tech rifle at the back there too. Something for everyone who wants goons! I think you could even do some freehand painting on their hoods as well if you were feeling ambitious. How about a skull for added dread or, if you're feeling charming, a kitty cat?

Cold War Portuguese

As well as the Hooded Goons, you will also be able to pick up this set of Portuguese Cold War Soldiers.

Now THAT is facial hair. The miniatures would suit a lot of Portugal's colonial wars fought in Angola and Mozambique throughout the course of the 1960s and the 1970s. You could also expand this out to include a look at the Southern African Wars. As you can see, they get a lot of different weapon options to play with, from standard rifles through to machine guns. You also have a radio operator and I would dare to say much more is coming down the pipeline.
