Grab New Konflikt ’47 Starter Armies From Warlord Games
September 15, 2026 by brennon
Warlord Games has released five new Starter Armies for those wanting to dive into their Weird World War wargame, Konflikt '47. Each of these sets should come with enough for you to get stuck into playing your first games of Konflikt '47.
United States - Rapid Deployment Force // Konflikt '47
The Rapid Deployment Force for the United States focuses on the Firefly Jump Infantry leaping into action wherever and whenever they are needed. They have then been paired with a couple of walkers for some extra fire support. The set contains...
- 1x Firefly Platoon Commander (Warlord Resin miniature)
- 30x Firefly Airborne Specialist Infantry (multi-part plastic miniatures)
- 1x M2A5 Linebacker Medium Walker (multi-part plastic miniature)
- 1x M10A1 Grizzly Medium Assault Walker (multi-part plastic miniature)
A rather quick and deadly fighting force! If you'd prefer to go down the route of playing as the Axis in your games of Konflikt '47, then you can shamble and clank your way into battle with the Sonderkampfgruppe.
Axis - Sonderkampfgruppe // Konflikt '47
This army for the Axis focuses on the combined-arms nature of their battlefield tactics and elite soldiers being mixed together with the shambling hordes. The Totenkorps (undead) will bog the enemy down whilst the Stahltruppen absolutely obliterate them. They are then backed up by a trio of walkers. Inside this set, you'll find...
- 1x Stahltruppen Platoon Commander (Warlord Resin miniature)
- 6x Stahltruppen Specialist Infantry (multi-part plastic miniatures)
- 15x Totenkorps Specialist Infantry (multi-part plastic miniatures)
- 2x Vogelspinne Light Walkers (multi-part plastic miniatures)
- 1x Sd.Kfz. 501/1 Nachtzehrer Light Walker (multi-part plastic miniature)
A suitably villainous-looking set of miniatures for those who want to play as the bad guys in your games of Konflikt '47. You could also go all automata, all the time, with the British Commonwealth.
British Commonwealth - Automated Battalion // Konflikt '47
This Automated Battalion fights as one, completely in sync with each other, led by the Automated Director. The core of the Automata here can lay down a withering amount of firepower and they are backed up by a human-crewed Percival which can deal with anything that might start to get too close to your lines. The set comes with...
- 1x Mk IIC Automated Director (multi-part plastic miniature)
- 20x Mk I Automated Infantry (multi-part plastic miniatures)
- 4x Mk II Heavy Automated Infantry (multi-part plastic miniatures)
- 1x Percival Medium Assault Walker (multi-part plastic miniature)
I think this might be my favourite of the sets from the new selection of Starter Sets. It also helps that it would be very easy to paint! You can also head across the world to visit the Empire of Japan and its ghostly new force.
Empire of Japan - Long Range Penetration Group // Konflikt '47
This Long Range Penetration Group is the spearhead of the Japanese army, packed out with their stunning-looking Ghost Attack infantry. They head forward and soften up the enemy with ambushes before breaking through with their up-gunned Chi-Nu tanks. The set comes with...
- 1x Platoon Commander in Assault-Frame Heavy Armour (Warlord Resin miniature)
- 25x Ghost Attack Infantry (multi-part plastic miniatures) which can be assembled as:
- Ghost Attack Squads
- Shadow Warrior Squads
- Ghost Platoon Commander
- 2x Type 3-Kai Shiboru Chi-Nu Medium Tanks (multi-part plastic with resin and Warlord Resin turret)
It could well be another of the favourites in this collection of miniatures from Warlord Games and certainly one of the most striking in terms of its look. That top spot might not be so secure thanks to the addition of the Soviet Bloc!
Soviet Bloc - Elite Operational Group // Konflikt '47
The Elite Operational Group does what it says on the tin. It is an elite collection of heavy-hitting infantry and specialised walkers to deliver the final, killing blow. Conventional infantry is a thing of the past thanks to the snarling Ursus Infantry bounding forward across the battlefield. This set includes...
- 1x Soviet Bloc Platoon Commander (Warlord Resin miniature)
- 6x Ursus Infantry (multi-part plastic miniatures)
- 3x Ursus Infantry with Mauls (multi-part plastic miniatures)
- 2x DM-40 Molot Medium Walkers (multi-part plastic miniatures)
I did think that the British Commonwealth might be the one for me but who could say no to the addition of snarling bear infantry that could knock over a tank if they thought hard enough about it?
It should be noted that all of these armies come with appropriate decal sheets, your Rift Dice, Order Dice and also assembly guides so you know how to build it all! With the majority of these boxed sets being completely plastic apart from perhaps the leaders, this seems like it could be a very good way to sink your teeth into Konflikt '47.
Could one of these new Starter Sets work for you?

that soviet army does look tempting, but I really wished they could have made those creepy icy guys from the initial variant..
