About the Project
Just got into 40K after wondering about it for years but being scared of by the idea of building a painting. Took the plunge this year after visiting OnTopTable store as it close by to home, and bought Tyranids starter set and box of Termagants, as I like monster races. As soon as I started building the Termies I loved the zen process of it and lost a full day. Went out a bought a load more stuff and now existed to build and play. Still a bit apprehensive about painting, but I'll hopefully learn and get better.

First full test
Near full detail of my what is my third paint. Not sure about the yellow. Going to do a test with Teal.
Mixed a little Mephiston red into TrollSlayer orange to darken it down a bit.
Going of script
Once I got into building I liked the way you could customize the look and position of limbs etc..
Added a lot of extra Armour to a Termie so as to give the idea he’s the unit leader even though it’s not a thing. Used a bit of heat to bend the tails of a few too.
Went a bit wild with a Genstealer and give it 8 limbs by doing a bit of DYI to merge two arms together. Then used the head from a ripper just cause I could.
First time painting a mini
In store sample to use while following OnTableTop's painting guide. Per Primed Blue, so I did all other colors 
First model painted from scratch, prime and all. Color test for Tyranids. Going for offshoot of Hive Behemoth. The orange was bit to bright so tried Nuln oil shade and love that it gives the model a dirty and dust look of battle. Lost some detail as base was bit to thick so learning experience.
