20th August 2026

Final one of the Eldritch Foundry designed group.

I was debating colour (of course) since I have several primary colours used already. Leaned towards green, then orange, but both are already represented.

Then I decided I would paint it in urban camo, with black armour.

However, in discussion with my friends (I do have some, honest 😊 ) the suggestion of having the callsign ‘Archangel’ was proposed….. then I just had to try painting it in white instead….

So, a quick respray white and things began again. In the interim though I had started work on the rocket plumes from the jet pack. For these I applied medium to the plumes, then some yellow contrast at the top, orange in the mid and blended as best I could.

I applied a white drybrush overall, followed by Soulblight Grey wash over the armour, helmet and boots. For the clothing I applied a thinned wash of Deneb stone. I then re drybrushed everything.

For added definition I thinned down some brown and lined the joins between surfaces, armour plates and such. The gun was painted with Soulblight and Basilicanum mixed. Visor was painted gold.

I then tidied up the details, washed the visor and highlighted it, followed by painting on pure white on to the armour panels, helm, parts of the boots and the belt. This makes those parts stand out a bit more.

More tidy up, more work on the jet plumes and it was pretty much done. The plumes had several stages of drybrush with whites and greys, re-application of thinned yellow and orange in to the cervices, and a thinned nuln oil at the base. Followed by a further light drybrush of light grey.
