North Star’s New Warriors Of Athena Plastic Heroes Sprues Spotted

North Star Military Figures has now shown off the full plastic sprues that you'll be getting when you dive into the new Heroes kit for Warriors of Athena, the ace Greek myth-inspired Fantasy skirmish game by Osprey Games and Joseph A. McCullough.

This Heroes plastic set will come with enough bits and pieces for you to make ten miniatures to use in your games. That's more than enough for those looking to create a unique hero to use in the game and the rest can be turned into other figures you meet on your travels or even future heroes in new campaigns. It should allow you to build your heroes and then all of the different companion types present in the rules.

You get all sorts of weapons to pick from, including axes, bows, spears, swords and clubs, alongside a good array of heads that can personalise your heroes. I love the proper full Greek helmet that I am going to use on my hero. You need them to be dark and mysterious!

As well as the main sprue, you'll also get this sprue, which comes with a mixture of different accessories, sidearms and shields for you to use on your hero and their companions.

You might have also noticed that the set comes with your animal companions as well, so you don't have to always rely on humans to help you out! You have a lovable mammal that could be a weasel, or a winged messenger with a bird?
These miniatures should be available to pre-order soon alongside the next wave of releases for Warriors of Athena in metal. Keep an eye out for that!

A mythical Greeks plastic set?! Hell, yeah!
Northstar have done it again. These will be purchased!
While these look cool and all , I wonder what the price for a 10 figure box will be ? Looking at the North Star on line site and converting the currency to Canadian $ a Warlord Winter FJ box is $70 , ( 30 figures – $2.30 per ) , a Frost Grave Barbarian box is $41 ( 20 figures – $2.05 per ) , and Frost Grave Wizards box $33 ( 8 figures – $4.10 per ) . This box gives you 10 figures , but I’m thinking you won’t be getting it for half the price of a 20 figure box .
If I can find these on a sprue sale somewhere I might grab one for kit bashing purposes , other wise , no sale here .
