Modiphius has started taking pre-orders for a whole bunch of new 32mm scale miniatures for those wanting to dive into the Sci-Fi wargame, Five Parsecs From Home! These came as something of a surprise but you've got crew and way more to snap up!

We shall kick off with the Crew, as they are going to be the core of any Five Parsecs From Home campaign that you might be playing. There are seven resin miniatures in the set that cover Humans, Aliens and Robots, armed with a variety of weapons and armour.

I can sense that these might actually end up being the basis for all sorts of conversions when people break out the bitz box. The miniatures in the set are Hardship, Heavy, Longtooth, Ol' Cappy, Shade, Skipper and then the Soulless, who is a very cool nod to Mass Effect. Want to bring one of the enemy on to yours side to fight against their own kind?
I think this is a really characterful band of miniatures and you could easily make them look very different and suited to your campaigns if you gave them different paint jobs. The crew that you don't use then become NPCs!
The second set of minaitures are for the Security forces of your Sci-Fi world.

Security comes in many forms. Sometimes these fellows will be on your side, helping you battle against some alien menace. Other times, they are going to be hunting you down through the streets of a far-off city because you stole something that you shouldn't. I think you could easily make these miniatures look "good" or "bad" with a simple change of paint schemes! Add some black in and you've got some seriously evil mercenaries!
The set comes with three Troopers with Rifles, two with Lasers, one Officer with a Laser, one Trooper with an Auto Rifle and then a final one with a Hand Flamer. A solid mixture of weapons and poses in there for your generic Sci-Fi mooks.
Last but not least, we have the Soulless.
Soulless Miniatures // Five Parsecs From Home
The Soulless are deployed by the hive intelligence network to carry out its missions. They are an inhuman threat that is entirely unreadable and cold in their actions. They will leave no survivors and even if you do manage to kill one, there will be little trace of their coming should you try to investigate. Very Mass Effect.
The set comes with three Soulless Troopers with Lasers, three with Blast Rifles, one Lieutenant with Hand Laser and Blade and then a Specialist with either a Plasma Rifle or Marksman Rifle. I think these might be my favourite miniatures from the lot.

The Soulless look like a cross between Necrons and K-2SO. Other than that, not bad.

I was going to say the Geth from Mass Effect and the Purge from Core Space
Ouch! The modiphius bundle is £122 for the 24 minatures. No thanks.
I think the price is driven by what they’re aimed at. It’s a game with a very low miniatures requirement – much like Infinity. Consequently the price per miniature is always much higher. And £122 for 24 miniatures is still cheaper than Infinity and Warcrow. So if you’re used to buying “armies” these are understandably going to seem expensive
I just want the wolf man. It looks like Kill Wolfhead from the Incal.
I really like the security agents, although the Flamer looks a bit “40k”
