Unleash Chaos With Three New Marvel: Crisis Protocol Characters
October 28, 2026 by brennon
Sticking with the theme of spooks and chaos for Halloween, Atomic Mass Games has another new Character Set for those diving into the weird and wonderful side of Marvel: Crisis Protocol.
Blackheart, Jack O'Lantern & Orb // Marvel: Crisis Protocol
This new set features miniatures for Blackheart, Jack O'Lantern and Orb, all very weird and wonderful characters that I don't imagine many people (myself included) are very familiar with. Blackheart feeds on the suffering of his enemies and turns it into power, which he can unleash on them. Jack O'Lantern is obsessed with mayhem and unleashing pure chaos on the tabletop.

Last but not least, we have the weird and wonderful miniature for Orb, who is driven by a need to be seen. These are three dangerous villains that might tip your tactics over the edge but also give you the boost you need to crack your friend's perfect set-up. The miniatures look brilliant too, an excellent set of painting projects for you to delve into.
The set comes with the three miniatures, their stat cards and three team tactic cards, which will give you ways to make the best use of them in your games. You can pre-order it right now ahead of a release in December later this year.
What do you make of this new set of characters for Marvel: Crisis Protocol?
"...all very weird and wonderful characters that I don't imagine many people (myself included) are very familiar with"

I don’t know how this game is still going: minis are badly overpriced, rules mid; only thing going for it is “the franchise”. Is that enough for a game? I don’t know.
The packaging isn’t helping. I’m put off by how many times they put a character I’d be interested in in a box like this.
Who’s Orb? I don’t care about Blackheart. Jack O’Lantern? Now that’s an iconic Old skool villain for me.
I’m not gonna shell out for a box of 50-60 euro’s for one mini that interests me.
I hardly play the game, but I bought a lot of the models to paint. It’s ben bugging me from the start how the packaging forced me to buy characters I don’t care for.
And that was when it was mostly just 2 models a box
3 GW characters is running about £90 at present, rules sub-par, the franchise is the strength so I think MCP might be ok if you compare to the market leader 🙂
Cool sculpts, I know none of these characters so no rush on looking at these
