And flying in at a tangent, I’ve been making flashing LED displays (of course) and making audio modules play cool sounds – but almost everything needs a 5v power supply.

Phone chargers are great for this kind of thing, but after long lengths of wire around a miniature diorama, thanks to “voltage drop” in the cables, a 5v supply source can often end up being 3.8v or less at the other end. So I was looking for a way to have multiple “step down” converters along a length of a pair of wires supplying 9v/12v.

I was aiming for 5V.
I guess 4.98v will have to do. Now….. where did I put those LEDs for my #lockdownleisureleague diorama projects?
Today I’m starting on my next warband for The Woods by Oakbound Studio, the Myeri. They have that oldhammer Fimir look to them and I look the sculpts. Do you think the skin colour is right? #lockdownleisureleague
.
Here are my finished Gnawloch warband for The Woods by Oakbound Studio and I have to say I am totally pleased with them. They are all from Clan Maharg and their tartan is the same. Just got the bases to do to totally finish them. #lockdownleisureleague

MERCS House 4, very much WIP.

Orc Bolt Thrower, it was as a complete set on ebay but on reflection I don’t think the crew are right.

Gone full Tony Robinson with a series of small walls, made from left over bits of sprue.

Started painting these Thunderers pre current lockdown, but finished them over the current period.

Hide behind the wall lads.
Following my new project on German Heer in winter gear, yesterday I put together the MMG team and 5 infantry, including one LMG team.

Next…painting these chaps.
Cheers
Small update to my #kitbashember project.

The Gatekeeper’s shoulder companion, the Lookout, are taking shape. Needs some greenstuff and a head.

I finished painting my copy of Mice and Mystic over a year ago so thought I should probably try it. No sense in waiting for playeers when I’m not allowed in the same room as anyone and this should work well solo. It took four attempts to complete the first mission. I made a lot of mistakes but I still fear it’s massively swingy.I kept running out of time before I could leave the second or third room of 5. Final attempt I had plenty of time to spare as I’d rolled less surges. I’m not sure yet how I feel about this game. Still, every mouse got a level up and I’ll try the second mission tomorrow.

A gladiatorial arena from Sarissa completed today. Apologies for the poor photo quality but it was the best I could do.

Played a game of Core Space with my mate Alex
we survived the purge with lots of booty in our holds

I’ve just done a little more on my Myeri fit The Woods by Oakbound Studio. I’m loving these and hopefully will have these finished tomorrow. #lockdownleisureleague
