About the Project
This is my Dark Angels 5th battle company from before the Primaris heresy. It started out as my half of the Dark Vengeance box back in the day and has been growing into a full battle company ever since. After a couple of years of this project being dormant as I struggled with 8th edition 40k. I am now re-imagining the project, re-painting the army in a grimdark style and finishing it off before the proper standard space marine is completely eradicated in current GW lore. The army's main focus will be for 7th edition 40k, but the majority of it is compatible with everything down to 2nd.

Test Model #2 Part 2
After a gloss coat I applied a unifying wash on my second test model for my Dark Angels 5th Battle Company.
Scenic Photography Base, Update 4
I got all the base colours on my sci-fi/cyberpunk photography base and the base for the 2nd Dark Angels test model done.
Scenic Photography Base, Update 3
I got a basecoat on my sci-fi/cyberpunk photography base, this will be for both my Infinity and Dark Angels projects.
Test Model #2 Part 1
I made a decent start on my second test model for my Dark Angels 5th Battle Company.
Scenic Photography Base, Update 2
Over the last couple of days I have been working on getting this sci-fi/cyberpunk photography base together. Currently, this will be for both my Infinity and Dark Angels projects.
Test Model #2
On to the next test model. First getting the base together.
And then for the basecoat. This colour is much better lore-wise for my Dark Angels in my opinion.
Minty Marine
I have several miniature laying about for my Dark Angels that I assembled in a way at the time, but I won’t be using for the army. Now rather than taking them apart and reassembling them in a way suitable for my army, I am going to be using them as test models. The first test model, quickly named “Minty Marine” for its odd armour colour is the first model. Here you can see this model coming together over the multiple stages. Trying different techniques and seeing how they all come together. Overall the test model was a success apart from that I didn’t like the colour for my Dark Angels. Don’t get me wrong, it is a great colour and I would definitely use it again, even on Space Marines. But it just sadly does not fit this lore based army that I am building and painting. You can see that I am going for an urban style of basing and unlike how I normally work, I am painting the miniature and the base separately. I use a Greenstuff World roller for the base texture and then add various bits and pieces to it.
I will go in more details on the paint scheme, colours used and techniques used when I have finalised the paint scheme myself. This first test model was obviously a success apart from the base colour. For those interested in the base colour used, it is the AK Interactive Acrylic Colors Mint Green (AK11143).
