About the Project

I have decided to tackle a terrain project based on the Frostgrave spin off Ghost Archipelago. The lost colossus supplement contains a number of scenarios which involve war bands seeking out the shattered parts of a giant statue. They fight over the leg and the hand etc. I wondered how to deal with that before looking around work for body parts. I work in a museum that has some old mannequins in storage as they are no longer in fashion for exhibits. All I could find was a hand so got in touch with a nearby visitor attraction who were very helpful after telling me they had a cellar full of body parts. I helped myself to a female dummy and hacked it up. I have started with the head and after being inspired by the games art work I had it chopped in half and decorated it with geenstuff and bits of card. I remembered to take her eyelashes off first.

I want some creeping vines climbing up the side of my building. I want the jungle to over have taken over and start growing up the walls. I’ve never made my own tree before but tried the twisted wire method before adding milliput. It looks like a child’s made it at the moment but one step at a time.

Scenario One in the lost colossus supplement is the plinth. The Plinth is a large slab of a building that the giant statue once stood upon. The scenario describes the plinth as 10″ square and 6″ high with one door. The roof has a trap door. The scenario recommends having a floor plan for the interior but i want to include it as part of my build. North Star were running a pre order of the latest supplement which includes a free sprue. I went for the snake men as this scenario needs five of them. The right number on the sprue. It’s early days for this build but I have the base and walls mapped out.

Got back to this small project. I chopped off the plug that attaches it to a mannequins. I then covered it in filler. Next step is paint and foliage.
