About the Project

After picking up Star Wars Legion and paying a few Tatooine desert games I think it's time to think about some of the other worlds that can be done and create some terrain or adapt some from other games for use in a galaxy far far away.

These were made by a friend of mine as an experiment. He designed them and printed them thinking they would be simple shapes to create. I'd say they need some gubbins but they turned out OK. He wants to do one with stairs

General Grievous leads a 500 point force if battle droids against Yoda and his clones. The droids have to occupy the outskirts of the city by reaching the clones deployment zone. Yoda sets up on the left wing to far from the action in a deployment gaff. The droids make a concentrated push up the middle with a squad on the far left being sneaky first time playing clone wars and the Ai system for droids needs some thinking about as with out a direct order token at the start of the turn they automatically go on the offensive

With out clear orders these droids look a bit confused. Urm....Roger Roger. Also after not playing for so long it's s pain trying to remember all the key words on the cards and what token is what.

Clones deploy to catch the advancing droids in a cross fire but get flanked by this unit sneaking up behind. Although they still fail to hit anything

It's the clones who get caught in a crossfire but the cover saves them

The dwarf spider droid blasts at the walker but I had given it the wrong nose cannon for the task it's blaster was more anti infantry. Do it turned it's attention around to the clones in cover and was far more effective

Grievous storms up the centre and wipes out a clone unit but in doing so left his Magna guard behind. This was the moment Yoda had been waiting for. With the combination of a killer command card and jedi abilities this green ball of bouncing death cut the droid general to bits. I was planning on using his killer command card the following turn but to late

The Magna guard rushed in and survived a turn before Yoda finished them off. One scoring droid unit made it to the far side but the rest were out of the fight in a last act of unsportsmanlike behaviour my spider droid self destructed next to Yoda. The Jedi master nimbly dodged. After a rule block of trying to remember how to play we finally got back into it.

My brother is visiting this Friday as we prepare for salute so we might have a game if legion the night before. I thought the outskirts of Theed would be a good location for a Clone wars game
