Colony exterior
Going back to my Hadley hope build I had another look at the blue prints and decided to have a go at 3D printing some wall sections instead of making them from card. I used sketch up to create 3D dhdpes based on the walls. This is new to me but it worked and is a lot neater than my hand crafted version. I did the top floor. This

The large room I printed from lv427 designs came with some scatter terrain like this little pallet mover for folks who cant afford a power loader
Dungeonalia project
I've just completed my dungeonalia project. Into the atmosphere processor recreates the original leading edge games board In 3D. I did a separate project but I thought I'd add done images to my main aliens project
Hive corners
I printed two corner hive pieces from lv427 designs but made a user error and ran out of resin on the second print. Good news us itsxa hive section so with the help of some card and bits box ounces I can disguise the wLls with plaster. To be honest the plaster looks better to me as a hive wall and it saved a print error 
Comic book inspiration
The original AvP comic story is still the best attempt at putting these two franchises together. It's set in the aliens universe for starters and not a stupid pyramid in the Arctic. I downloaded the free predator stl from papsikels and used it as an opportunity to paint him up in the comic book colours

The nest
Two straight corridor sections with hive printed. The cocooned colonists slot in so I could print them and stick them elsewhere. My main reason to print these sections is to put together scenarios from the AvP board game
Battle report
A game of AvP unleashed using 400 points which is skirmish level in an attempt to learn the rules. 2 five man colonial marine squads, captain powerloader and some colonists ambushed by a queen with 9 stalkers 5 warriors and spitters
The marines are surrounded and pour fire at the warriors but two survive and rip into the marines.
The Queen soaks up a lot of damage before slaughtering a squad
The colonists have acid spat at them and watching their friends melt they flee
Stalkers have a hidden set up and use it to get close enough to finish the marines. The game ends with the queen and the power loader exchanging blows. The marines loose this oneMeeting room printing
I have in the past purchased these terrain pieces from lv427 scenics from a third party but I've been experimenting with my little resin printer which they aren't designed for. My print bath doesn't hold enough resin to print these pieces in one go with out pausing to refill. This has led to a break in scaffoldingand dodgyprints. This time i split the print in two and glued the pieces together. It worked ok i think with a bit of green stuff to fill gaps. .
