About the Project
I've decided to revisit my first historical games and give my minis a face lift. I dug out legends of the old West a month ago and realised how chipped my minis were. So I'll be revisiting my western and my pirates for these classic skirmish games.

Have a selection of odds and ends such as treasure chests used as objective markers. Mostly old citadel kits

I had a spare standard bearer from my independence range so I stole a little pirate flag from the black seas game. Add a chap carrying rum and you have every pirates rally point

Blackbeard and other personalities
I have an osprey book on pirates so I used the illustrations to help paint up some of the personalities.

I have three gun crews. I brightened up the master gunners and dulled down the rest

These ladies are left over from my pirate crews. They were a bit chipped but I didn't have to do to much to patch them upSecond pirate crew
Second crew I wanted to rework do they all look more individual
This guy had to be the captain
This fellow was dressed in black so I thought I'd go a bright colour and have him as a second mate
Different colours for all
Flints pirates
I picked up captain flint from wargames illustrated giants in miniature range
I've made half the crew sinister looking with dark colours
I enjoyed painting this one bright colours
