About the Project
In this project I'll be taking my fledgling steps into Marvel Crisis Protocol. I'll be trying out some techniques and paints I've never used before. Wish me luck.

Valkyrie part 3
I based the arm wraps with Ulthuan grey, which I gave a light wash of Nuln Oil to add a bit of definition, without discolouring them too much.
The swords, buckles, throwing knives and the armour plates on her legs were based with gunmetal from vallejo. These were washed with Nuln Oil to dull them down. Once that had dried and I did an edge highlight with chainmail from vallejo.
Her hair is just an ivory washed with Cassendora yellow.
Next I painted the sword and knife hills with Brass Scorpion.
Finally I painted all the straps with chocolate brown from Greenstuffworld. I then washed all the brown and brass bits with Agrax Earthshade.
Valkyrie part 2
Next I did her clothes and boots. I started with German Grey from Vallejo, then I drybrushed them with vermin fur and finally Ulthuan grey. Then I applied a couple of washes of Nuln oil.
Valkyrie part 1
I started with her flesh, which I did in the same manner as Thor.
I then gave her cloak a coat of Akhelian Green contrast… which is actually blue. The zenithal prime really makes this pop.
Thor part 3
Next I gave all the metal parts a light coat of nuln oil. Once that had dried I did some edge highlighting on the metal with chainmail from vallejo.
After I had done that I gave the cloak 2 thin coats of flesh teasers red contrast. It got the second coat because the first was a bit splotchy.
Next was his hair. It got a base coat of ivory, which was washed with Cassendora yellow.
Finally I did the base, which was the same as all the others.
Thor part 2
Next it was time to paint his armour. I blocked in the torso boots and bracers in with German Grey from Vallejo. Then I carefully drybrushed them with vermin fur and a very light dusting of Ulthuan grey. I then hit the grey bits with 4 (yes 4) washes of Nuln oil. When that was dry I used a blue grey on his trousers.
Next I blocked in all the metals with gunmetal from Vallejo.
Thor part 1
I’m back from fannying about in middle earth. I went to a middle earth tournament at the start of the month, didn’t do so well, but had a great time. While I was there I picked up Thor and Valkyrie.
I started with the skin, done in my usual way… sort of. Instead of drybushing the highlights in I edge highlighted them instead. I didn’t want to make a mess of the cloak. I have other plans for that.
