About the Project

3d Printable Goblin project, Sculpted in Blender and test printed on a Anycubic Photon 4k mono. Loving old style full of Character minis from the eighties and early nineties, I decided that the modern goblins just didn't inspire me. So I figured I'd try my hand at making my own.

Thank you for the Golden button and the kind words.

Sorry, I have no idea why I choose to use an old gamer tag as my user name. My names Pete.

Yes Gerry I am working on the goblin heavy weapon team, but its not very far along yet. The Minis will be broken into two different factions. Military themed and cybernetically enhanced. Maybe more after that.

The Game..

I worked out a skirmish game with 8 characters a side to begin with. Both sides will play very differently, I have tried to have just enough of the old green skin ridiculousness without making the game to random.

Each Character/unit will have a card that is drawn from a shared deck for activation. When a Character is eliminated you choose from a hand of themed event cards to replace the killed characters card in the deck. This acts as a balancing mechanic and also it doesn’t feel as bad if you lose a character early in the game.

I’ve tested with test prints and its quite fun so far.

Trying to get better at modelling using splines.

The chain was made using a object duplicated along a spline and repeating the links in place of each object. Its harder than it looks.

Adding more goblins to the group, This one is based on my early pose test.

I found it better to make a few models like this, then go back and add details and refine them. I want a big group and progress is picking up.I found it better to make a few models like this, then go back and add details and refine them. I want a big group and progress is picking up.

I am wondering, I have a little skirmish game I've made for these minis, Interesting?

I made a little skirmish game with cards for each of my minis, It needs a bit of work but I was thinking of including it with 2 gangs of models as a kind of print and play starter pack. Should I spend time on this or just get on with making more minis?

I need a better Camera Grrrrr
