Rascal Town Lil' Rascals
An exercise in contrast for this month’s painting competition.
The first rascal is painted in greyscale so all the contrast is from black and white contrast. The paints use were abaddon black, mechanicus standard grey, dawnstone, administratum grey, celestra grey, ulthuan grey, and white scar.
The second rascal was an exercise in contrast from opposites of the colour wheel. It was also an exercise in colour mixing, as I only used bright green, orange red, and ultramarine. I used washes, but rather than using a green wash over the green paint, I used washes from the opposite side of the colour wheel, e.g. red wash over the green areas.
