Wargames Atlantic has now released a new set of 10mm plastic miniatures for those diving into their Fantasy wargaming with the Horselords. Some thundering new cavalry for Classic Fantasy Battles.

We're getting some juicy new lore now when we dive into Classic Fantasy Battles. See what you think of this for the Horselords...
"In ancient days, these hard, war-like people rode the waves, raiding coastal settlements and living off the toil of others. Hunted down and nearly destroyed by High King Eridic III many centuries ago, their ships were burned and they were allowed to settle on the edge of the Great Grass. It was Wrolk the Fair who rose up to lead them then, establishing his new code for his people and the mandate that they must never live outside the law again. Although the bulk of their people are now farmers and herders, they have never forgotten their warrior past and are ever-ready to bring their mighty steeds to the High Queen’s defence."
The set comes with enough figures for thirty-six cavalry alongside the bases that you'll need for your games.

The sculpting comes from Rob Macfarlane and the illustration on the front of the box comes from Marco Capparoni. The painting of the figures that you see here comes from Allister Daire who has done a sterling job on the miniatures.

The details look great and I like that they are all essentially "one-piece" figures that you're sticking onto the bases. They are very Middle-earth coded, which is always good, making them perfect for those who are crafting epic-scale 10mm armies of Rohan.

The set comes with twelve Stormriders, twelve Thunderbows and twelve Hearthguard. A solid set of miniatures for those looking to build a cavalry-focused army or perhaps as the quick and deadly element of your regular force. A surprise new addition to the Classic Fantasy Battles collection but a welcome one.
What do you make of the 10mm Horselords, now available from Wargames Atlantic?

Right up my alley. I wonder how they match up with Copplestone’s 10mm horselords.
