Warren was bang on the money about the Dreadnought, pre heresy stuff should look better than “modern 40k” because technology is actually going backwards in the 40k universe, they lost a huge amount in the Dark Age and even more during the Heresy and while they are trying to reclaim some of it, the Mechanicus considers invention and creativity to be heresies against the omnissiah so nothing new is created.
