I see- well I guess we must have just been luckier in our own campaigns! 🙂
For Dracula’s America, I’ve certainly tried to maintain as level a playing-field between successful Posses and less successful ones as possible; so hopefully that kind of thing shouldn’t be too much of an issue…

@Torros: Out of interest, what were your own issues with Mordheim and Necromunda?

Glad to hear it! The campaign system will indeed be familiar to players of Frostgrave, Mordheim, Necromunda etc (those are my favourite kind of games!)- however, unlike Frostgrave all your models can gain experience and skills and go up in Rank (and suffer lasting injuries)! You also have the chance of running into Encounters between […]

Just a few days to go until the Nickstarter finishes- and there’s just a few hundred to go until everybody gets a free goat-sucking Chupacabra! 🙂 -

I love me a good Dungeon-Crawler! And I love the Darklands setting and minis- though I don’t actually own any myself! Perhaps this game may change that- I wonder if there is an exploration element, or if the map tiles are all laid out beforehand? It looks to be the latter, which is a bit […]

Always been intrigued by Carnevale as it looked like my kind of narrative-driven game, but never took the plunge until now- I’m in at the Gondolier level; it looks like a really great deal to try the game out!..

The Congregation: Born out of the ‘cold war’ between North and South mid-way through the Civil War, the Congregation are an eclectic mix of ex-slaves, fanatical abolitionists and other desperate folk with access to the power of Vodou! Based in the swamps of the Deep South, they fight a continuous guerrilla war against the growing […]

I too am returning to 40k after a long break- I and my gaming buddies stopped playing around the transition between 4th and 5th editions. Having sold-off all my old armies many moons ago, I picked up two Start Collecting sets of Tau, and I’m partway through painting up the first- the rest of my […]

The Crossroads Cult: In the aftermath of Dracula’s coup, the new President-for-Life began an ambitious Reconstruction project that would allow him to consolidate his power. The centrepiece of this monumental rebuilding of America’s infrastructure was the Transcontinental Railroad. A mysterious (but incredibly wealthy and influential) Tycoon named…[Read more]

The Red Hand Coven: Dracula’s minions can come from any walk of life, and their Posses feature townsfolk, desperate Outlaws, conscripted Union soldiers, and the rich and well-to-do. Here are a few of the basic concepts behind the game: It’s a small-model count skirmish game (typically between 3 and 10 models per Posse), that will play on a table between 2’x2′ and 4’x4′ and last around an hour. It also allows between 2 and 8 players to play simultaneously. The game uses D6, […]

Welcome back, Sam!
After an extremely long hiatus (well, since 4th edition), my group and I are tentatively getting into 8th edition (via Shadow-War: Armageddon!). I went for Tau, as I always preferred ‘shooty’ armies- I just picked up two of the Start Collecting sets, which I hope should give me a decent starting force… - Load More
