Adding the third thanatar for a complete squad. Also got hold of this random robot miniature from ramshackle games.

Wanted to add some obliterators to the Dark Mechanicum for a while, but needed to alter them a bit to fit in a bit more. As fluff wise I wanted them to be techpriests who had gone all gribbly ? so I decided to sculpt some hoods on them in green stuff. I have to say I’m over the moon with the results.

Another ancient miniature I decided to add to the army was this original avatar of Khaine! An actual 28mm avatar , certainly a far cry from the bigger offerings we’ve seen from GW. As it was metal I had to start with a black base coat to create shading before the mist of white paint.

Hail to the King.

This bad boy is the Alien King (or the rogue if you read the Alien comics back in the day). Now I will be using this as a Daemon Behemoth, which is a cross between a monstrous creature and a gargantuan creature in the rules. Can’t wait to get him on the table!

A new mechanic for the HH daemon army is that they enter the game through portals you place on the table. And it suggests making a suitable marker to represent them in game. So got myself som polystyrene half spheres and sculpted on swirly stuff using ready mixed filler. Then painted them up. And ended up with what looks like a cake.

These miniatures were meant represent the xenomorph from the third alien film, so the are smaller than the alien warriors, but I thought they would add some variety to the daemon horde as you can’t do that much with the poses on the warrior models. Was glad the tails were already part of these minis as that meant no pinning the tails on!
