The year of 2025

Canadians first….

British adapted from the Warlord Commando sprue’s. Bergen and beret removed with the old clippers then the beret removed and filed so helmets would fit. And then i realised some how i had not took any pics of the build of the figures just the fully undercoated figures (TWAT!!) And yes that is a K-gun on my platoon Sergeant and yes he will be called  SGT  K GUN .

So March has passed by and so begins Aprils hobby. I decided take a break from WW2 and  paint my Storm Cast I had built last year and just had sitting in a box just grey and dull. My plan is to to use them in a solo rules game i got from Wargames Vault called Chronicles of Blood a simple easy set of rules which makes me happy.

So a quick undercoat of Citadel Lead Belcher and very simple colour scheme of  Hoplite Gold (speedpaint,) chain mail’

blood red (speedpaint) spear shaft, sword scabbards, handles and Helmet plumes.

hardened leather (speedpaint) shield strap and belts,

Grim Black (speedpaint) shields male warriors.

Plate mail Metal (warpaints) Shields feamle warriors and armour highlights.

Dorado skin (Warpaints), Crusader skin( speedpaints)  Skins.

Has seen base’s not done yet, in two minds to just remove from the base and re-base on trays or just buy tray to fit bases ??

This is all the hobby for April has well jobs round the front,back garden and drive way had to be done due to good weather, my wife informed me.

So we are into May and started the month with a quick little build with my Grandson which is not really game or paint  related it is basically a sort of Lego kit. So we proceeded to Build a Sherman tank 1/35 scale quick-build from Hornby/Airfix and has you can see a great little kit it is too…..tracks move, turret rotates all manually and sticker decal ‘s.

So after the quick build with my grandson I sat down on Sunday morning with a cup of char and decided to build the Tiger quick build.It took just over an hour as the most time consuming part were the tracks 45 links all hand push fitted then just thread them over the road wheels,  push fit together,   then stick on the decal stickers tank done.

So after a quick build of my Elf Spearman and basing coat of white. I then painted using basically 5 colours Plate mail silver (Army Painter fanatics, Hoplite Gold  speed paint, High lord blue speed paint, Fire Giant Orange and Slaughtered Red speedpaint.

1. Armour plate mail
2. Shield , spear tip, plate mail plus gold at shield bottom.
3. Clothing Blue /white.
4. Helmet Crest Giant Orange
5. Sword Scabbard Slaughter red

So had found 8 old Warhammer High Elves Phoenix guard that i forgot i even had ( think i need to go through my pile of potential see what the hell i have) so quick undercoat of white then quick paint job of  the same colours i used on my elevn spearman and scratch built banner pole tops and done.
