Great video! Just one small correction: the Juggernaut is 7 pts, so they cost the same.
Okay first off the juggy is 7pts, same as the marauder, its the berzerker thats 6pts
That being said I love my marauder, its great laugh whenever I have it on the board and is the cause of my favorite win back in mk1 in a prime/primal tournament that was being run in my area.
To set the scene I had pVlad on 1 point of health in combat with 3 shredders and a harrier with noway of getting out due to the terrain, a destroyer in combat with a carnevarian and my marauder left, he had pretty much all of his pLylyth army left.
I decided to go hell for leather, put 2 focus on each jack, cast S&P (cos it was cheaper back then) and pop my feat. Moved the marauder over to the carnevarian and combo-smited with the intent on freeing up my destroyer for shot at lylyth, promply rolled a 6 for the distance, shifting him just far enough to hit lylyth (who was hiding towards the back abit) knocking her down and taking off half her health with the collateral damage. One aimed & boosted shot from the destroyer later and lylyth is no more.
Forgot to mention, the best part about a marauder is not that it effectively slam all the time (assuming both arms are working) but that you can aim the slam so you can position where the enemy is going to be moving to the best line for you.
mmmh never used a marauder. I allways liked the juggernaut’s open fist even though, come to think of it, i never really used it for power attacks. considering this maybe the plastic khador kit is something for my next shopping tour allthough this might take a wile*g*
looks like the marauder is nothing to be trifled with like all khador heavies but as allways on the slow side and it has problems hitting the broadside of a barn…
otherwise nice vid as allways
your video starts with ” Khador Marruder ” …but I know – nobody likes smart-asses ^^
Somehow, I like that spelling more! I thought it said “Marrder” at first… like a pirate saying “murder”.
you mean like a scottish pirate ? ^^
i use the marauder in my army and i love it. i run sorscha’s battlegroup, proxying the juggernaut as beast 09, a destroyer, and the marauder. i also use eiryss to get up to 25pts…very tough army and very hard to kill, unless your playing one of the more buff heavy armies like menoth or cryx.
