When you measure your ‘casters control area, does it have to be in a straight line to a friendly unit or warjack, or are you free to just wave the tape measure in a full circle around him looking how far everything is?
Also case and point on the lancer, Orsus is the king.
The control area is a circle around your caster.
That I know yes, its just how you are allowed to measure it I’m wondering? If you can at any time just measure up to your control area limit in any direction from your warcaster, then thats a hell of a lot different that say just being able to freely measure a line to a specific warjack in your battlegroup to check hes in your c.area.
The former can obviously just be exploited until the cows come home if you keep your caster in the middle of your force, but if thats how it works then its obviously deliberate.
Pg 75 of the WM rulebook states “you can measure the distance from a model to any point within its control area at any time.” So yeah you are able to pick any point and pre-measure. Comes in all kinds of handy.
You can measure any distance from the model to any point in its control area.
Also I’d just like to point out that you can measure the control area whenever you want, in your opponent’s turn, before or after activating the ‘caster/lock etc. Absolutely whenever you want to.
Ok thanks guy, that clears that one up
Very instructive vid… thought measuring control distance was a good way to keep the game characterful, with the center of your force giving “hints” on how you play out your game.
Question… the butcher had some focus on him after the 2nd attack… was there anything he could have done with it? Cast a spell or something? (besides leave it on for boosted Armor)
Umm the Juggernaut charged the Ironclad so:
2 standard dice
+1 for charging
+1 for Butcher’s Feat
Hehe Vishal only rolled 3 😛 … Sorry I’m a noob who pays too much attention to detail. But yeah I’m loving these vids. Thanks guys keep up the good work.
actually his first attack missed so there for he lost the bonus to charge
