About the Project
I completed a previous project playing the five parsecs Bughunt rules. This time I'm doing the main game using the example campaign as a starting point found in the Bughunt expansion. I'm using starwars as a setting.

Mission Five: slavers of putivrek one
With Bogun and Trigger recovery in a bacta tank captain ka was a little relieved and a bit angry when Weedo the Rodian stumbled into camp smelling of booze. The unpredictable rodian had spent several days of shore leave indulging himself. He claimed he got lost in the jungle but the smell of correlian brandy suggested otherwise. Ka couldn't discipline Weedo as he needed the man power. Czerka corporation had another job for him which would include lots of danger pay if he pulled it off. If he failed again they would terminate their contract.
Black sun slavers had been raiding czerka settlements on putivrek one appearing through the jungle and snatching who they wanted. Czerka had intelligence that another raid was about to launch.
Ka had his small crew take up position at the edge of the targeted settlement snd waited for the slavers to appear.
Weedo full of confidence that his newly acquired deflector shield would protect him was suddenly struck by multiple blasts. His shield saved his life but the blast took him off his feet and he was knocked out
Black sun slavers appear and fire away but the crew learn from Weedos mistake and use the trees for cover
The black sun turn out to be bad shots and captain ka himself starts thining their numbers with well placed shots.
Rosa under fire takes out the slavers leader before the heavens open up. A tropical storm puts a halt to the slavers plans and ka orders a retreat dragging the unconscious Weedo away. Czerka corporation however are not happy that they allowed blacksun to retreat. Ka has decided to leave the jungle moon and look for better work elsewhere however Czerka might not let him leave just yet.Black ops unit
Guild force creation
As well as playing my starwars themed games I got inspired to create some more generic combatants for the game. These could be used for stargrave as well. I took a look at the enemy force tables and started with some guild troops. These are miners or engineers who work gor a guild. I used cannon fodder wargames Atlantic kits mixed with some stargrave weapon options.Mission four: turbolaser takedown
Imperial army grunts have a small unit in the jungle manning a turbolaser battery. This weapon allows the empire to control traffic entering the local airspace. Czerka corporation hires ka and the crew to take out the gun leaving no trace back to the corporation
The turbolaser sits within the ruins of a lost civilisation. All they had to do is reach it and sabotage it.
Still missing weedo the crew head for the target unaware that imperial army snipers have them in viewMission Three: Rumble in the jungle
Ka and the crew head across the space lanes but find many routes restricted due to rebel activity. They are forced to land on a small junhle moon dotted with tiny settlements. Here they hope to find replacements for the crew they left behind do some training and search these small towns for work.
In a small mining camp they recruit an old clone wars veteran TRG76 although the aging clone goes by the name trigger. A down on her luck tech named Rosa also joins the crew hoping it will get her off this steamy moon. As ja goes looking for work Weedo goes looking for trouble. Getting drunk in a cantina Weedo has his blades stolen and wakes up with a hangover lost in the bush.
Czerka corporation have had problems with mercenaries disrupting their mining operation. This armed group they think has been paid by a rival corporation. They have recently taken over a comms unit at a mining post. The crew are hired to take back the comms tower and will receive extra pay if they take out the mercenaries leader who goes by the name sunny.
Approaching the comms tower the crew come under fire from the mercy who seem content to act defensively. They fire at long range so ka orders the crew to close the gap. Where Weedo when you need him.
Eger to prove herself and earn the extra pay for his demise Rosa forces sunny to seek cover but is wounded herself although she claims its just a flesh wound.cMission two: Doom in the gloom
Rebel fugitives from war torn Mimban have set up camp in the hills surrounding the port of Fridens Hills. Desperate for supplies they often raid and steal from the port in the early hours. Captain Ka and crew have been hired to protect the supply depot
To full fill their contract the crew had to patrol the depot by approaching three separate points. The early morning gloom has made visibility poor with a minimum range for spotting raider activity although laser blasts would give away any positions.
The crew split into three pairs in order to cover more ground and each headed for one of the three objectives. As always Weedo went straight down the middle.
Lara and Morin headed around the right flank. Laras marksman skills useless in the poor visibility. Everyone headed to the patrol points unaware of how close the mimban raiders were
Lara checked her patrol destination but before she could complete her check was ambushed and came under fire. For once her shots hit no one and she went down under fire.
Spotting the laser blasts Weedo tries to get within range but like lara he's taken down while in the open
On the far left krig and Bogun were keeping to cover but it dint stop krig being shot down by two mimban raiders.
Things weren't going so well for Morin either sho was shot down trying to reach lara and his patrol objective. Things were looking as bleak as the gloom for the crew.
Despite Weedo and krig being shot down they had reached their objectives. Or ka gad to do was reach lara and morins. He was the last nan standing but after laying down some shots to keep the mimban raiders heads down ka secured ghe objective
The mimban raiders fled the scene leaving captain ka with come injured crew. Luckily for most the injuries were minor. Unfortunately lara and morin were dead. Now I forgot a rule involving luck here which allows them to avoid the first death role. Both characters had a luck point. I played another game thinking they were dead. We can only assume that the ruthless captain ka abandoned his weakling crew for dead. Perhaps they will return. Taking his reward ka had the surviving crew train up and improve their combat skills. The planet of Bying Putnik had done its worse to the crew. It was time for the Exuberant Weasel to take flight to a new destination... Mission one: Roger Roger
After seeing off the local thugs captain Ka was approached by a local merchant who was having problems with some reprogrammed security droids. Instead of guarding his docking bay they have started firing on anyone who comes near. Force few credits ka and the crew head to the bay to "deactivate " the droids.
The old surplus separatist battle droids have reverted to their old programing. Shouting "die jedi" and "Roger Roger" the droids have become a menace to the Friden Hills docks
Splitting into two groups the crew attempt to out flank the droids. Ka struggles to stop weedo once again raising ahead.
The droids follow their defensive programing and seek cover from aflurry of shots and wait for the crew to get closer.
Happy to oblige Morin advances and users his plasma gun to blast the one droid that failed to reach cover in time.
Under fire from up the street and the corner the droids see an easy target as weedo continues to run forward with blasts skipping over his head.
Boguns rattle gun takes down one and weedo shrugs off shots to take down a second. The final droid stunned staggers back from his fallen friends saying "oh ooh"
Roaring a trandoshan challenge Krig tries to get into melee but is cheated by Morins plasma gun as he strikes down the final droid.
With the final dtoud down the merchant could return to his dock and hope his insurance covers the damages. A couple of items in storage damaged in the firefight were gifted to the crew. One was a brace that would allow Bogun to carry his rattle gun easier and a scope for Laras rifle. Very useful for the future. With success protecting the docks another job would come the crews way.Mission zero
The dusty star port of Fridens Hills serves the outer rim world of Bying Putnik. After unsuccessful looking formwork the crew of the Exuberant Weasel head back to the ship to contemplate their next move.
Lurking around the port are some thugs affiliated with local spice smugglers. Harassing the locals and demanding tribute from any ship crews on their turf. Captain ka won't or can't pay the scum so instead teaches them a lesson I'm manners.
The rest of the crew advance. Boguns rattle gun fires lots of shots but miss most of what he was aiming at.
Weedos bold advance allows him to out flank the scum whose cover is no longer any use. With his close range hand gun he draws on the foe.
Realising the day isn't going well the final scum flees into the shadows leaving the crew to scrape krig up and return to their ship. This was a training scenario designed to get a player used to the combat rules only so Krigs injuries turn out not to be life threatening. The crews actions draw the attention of a local businessman who needs some tough types for a little job.
