I have several miniature laying about for my Dark Angels that I assembled in a way at the time, but I won’t be using for the army. Now rather than taking them apart and reassembling them in a way suitable for my army, I am going to be using them as test models. The first test model, quickly named “Minty Marine” for its odd armour colour is the first model. Here you can see this model coming together over the multiple stages. Trying different techniques and seeing how they all come together. Overall the test model was a success apart from that I didn’t like the colour for my Dark Angels. Don’t get me wrong, it is a great colour and I would definitely use it again, even on Space Marines. But it just sadly does not fit this lore based army that I am building and painting. You can see that I am going for an urban style of basing and unlike how I normally work, I am painting the miniature and the base separately. I use a Greenstuff World roller for the base texture and then add various bits and pieces to it.

I will go in more details on the paint scheme, colours used and techniques used when I have finalised the paint scheme myself. This first test model was obviously a success apart from the base colour. For those interested in the base colour used, it is the AK Interactive Acrylic Colors Mint Green (AK11143).
