Welcome to the thirteenth, and definitely not the last, monthly painting competition (#PaintComp) here in the OnTableTop forums.
Taking a page from @warbossd gaming club book as inspiration there will be a key word or phrase set at the start of the month and anybody who would like to participate can paint something up, build something or engage in whatever creative outlet strikes them, as long as there is at least a tenuous link to the key word.
Then, not later than the 25th of each month, post your results here (not in the project system!) and we all get to do a community vote on it! Voting will open the day after entries close and will close at midnight local time on the 28th with results posted the following day.
There are no prizes involved, only fun! It’s not mandatory. It’s just for fun.
This month’s key phrase is:
Sinners and saints
Do with that what you will…
June 29, 2026 at 7:56 pm #1978552June 29, 2026 at 8:01 pm #1978553I swear it’s a conspiracy. I had the perfect mini and it’s already done. About 18 months ago I painted an angel and succubus model.
June 29, 2026 at 8:44 pm #1978566That’s a crafty one @danlee That’s the same theme as you gave us in January. I’ve carefully checked the non-existent competition rules and there is nothing saying you can’t nominate the same theme more than once. Just makes it a bit trickier, but in a good way 🙂
June 30, 2026 at 7:25 am #1978575@zoidpinhed not so much crafty as forgetful. I had it in my head that contradicting terms would make for a great theme. I just forgot that I’d already done this one. Never mind. It still works.
July 1, 2026 at 12:46 am #1978713There’s got to be something in that Solomon Kane box I can use for this…
July 5, 2026 at 6:47 am #1979013I will have something for this month after the washout in June. Minis are on order… a special addition for a future super double secret army project.
July 10, 2026 at 3:12 pm #1979569Sister Temperance’s life before the Church involved owning a small dockside tavern in Boston, one of the rowdiest and most disreputable in the city (which is saying something). She kept order with burly bouncers, harsh language, and her infamous shotgun displayed prominently above the bar. Unfortunately, one incident involved liberal use of said weapon, and her sentence was either prison or the convent. Turns out the Sister took well to the holy life, and travels the West, bringing the Good Word to all who need it.
“Mercy is for the poor, homeless, and downtrodden. The Bible says not one thing about zombies.”
These are two versions of Sister Temperance. They are from Zombicide: Undead or Alive and were a Kickstarter strech goal.

July 13, 2026 at 11:58 pm #1979792Here’s my entry for Saints and Sinners: Robert E Howard’s Puritan adventurer himself, Solomon Kane.
July 21, 2026 at 3:03 pm #1980184I haven’t forgotten this thread. Quiet the opposite. But I just lack total inspiration currently. Thank you to everyone who still contributes to this thread!
July 25, 2026 at 12:58 pm #1980490Last day for submissions today and I’m rushing to get something finished. Should be okay but it will be later this evening.
July 25, 2026 at 5:36 pm #1980500Here’s my entry:

Naughty Dwarves. Well in fact these are downright dastardly. Abyssal Dwarfs from Mantic Games for my Kings of War project. This is a top secret post – I’ve not got this far in the articles yet so don’t tell anyone this is here. Can’t be spoiling the reveals 😉
July 25, 2026 at 6:34 pm #1980505Hurrah, lovely work all; my entry for the month is Taddeus the Purifier, Priest of the Ministorum, Wannabe saint and purger of taint.

Pirates are well known for their saintly behaviour, right?
