Great Escape Games continues to furnish all of the 28mm-scale Wild West with another plastic kit available to pre-order. It might be a little thing but their new Standing Horses will add some narrative to your Wild West wargames like Dead Man's Hand.

This new plastic set is available to pre-order at the moment and provides you with a couple of dismount options for your cowboys, bandits, lawmen and everyone in between. They would also make excellent set dressing for your frontier towns.

Each set comes with two frames featuring two horses each, a water trough, hitching posts, ropes, saddlebags, cacti and stirrups. You will also get an adorable prairie dog on the sprues, which can be used to showcase some sneaky little blighter trying to make it away with your rations. I think we all win when we get little critters in our miniature games.

These look great and will work really nicely alongside the existing terrain from Great Escape Games, also available in plastic. You can find more of their plastic sets HERE, including their updated Gunfighters. There are lots of characters in Wild West games that it would be handy to have dismounts for and these work very well.

I love the idea of setting them up as the getaway option for your bank robbers in a scenario. Will the Lawmen be smart enough to rush over and keep an eye on those horses before the bandits get a chance to scarper?
