That’s why you shouldn’t use Facebook (or Google for that matter) to run a business website.
It may be cheap, but you literally get what you pay for.
They can’t be trusted and have no suitable options when the inevitable change in branding needs to happen.
I know I had a tongue in cheek dig earlier in the thread against GW but protecting your IP, trade marks etc is something a company cannot afford to neglect otherwise why bother to register in the first place.
If you ignore company “A” calling themselves something that sounds the same then you set a precedence, which would, in law work against you. While you may not have a direct concern about company “A”, if a future company say “B” came along who had even closer name or product. Your earlier reaction to company “A” would make it a lot harder for you in law to protect yourself from a direct assault on your companies IP etc.
If GW have been complete Bar stewards in all this it would come down to whatever the understanding the two companies came too, of which I’m not a party too.
