@templar007 the first three books are really “the Dune series”; book four it goes off the rails – hard. Anything after that is unreadable in my opinion.

The Sting movie was good but judged by Star Wars and other movies of its time (Alien, too!), it was … Dune, but weak.

The modern movies are marginally better; I find Timothy Chalomet insufferable in movies and real life; Zendaya and the mother who is also in Silo (brilliant show!) carry the movies, I think.

Fully agree I want those minis! They are Dune through and through.

Sadly, I am not a fan of STL or 3D printing, the tech is so close but still not “there” for me. So much so that I stopped doing commission painting as literally half of the 40K armies are now printed! GW can’t make enough minis fast enough, I guess. I had a bad incident of poorly cured models that really enlightened me as to the worst possible case of the 3D printing.

 

Bonus music because I tried out the Doug Wimbish signature bass today. In an age of rap, these guys rocked.

I’ve spend several days trying to paint windows on my MCP terrain and it’s been driving me nuts.

I tried silver, light grey, dark grey and various other shades. My last attempt, which I have not uploaded to the project system yet, was based on looking at the images on Atomic Mass Games website and it’s a blue speed paint over the base colour.

It’s not perfect, but I’m sick of trying to get it right. I just want the stuff painted, so that’s it. Glass is a pain.
