Also, with all the talk of the 28mm Vietnam era minis, I broke down and bought the ‘Nam’ rulebook. (which is for 15mm)

It’s just like the Battlefront rulebook ‘Fate of a Nation’, as it has things updated and ready to go. They even have Army Unit Deck packs, (like in Fate of a Nation), so you can have the new cards for the current style of play with all stats on a handy card. I find this very thoughtful of the Battlefront team, as it lets folks use the models that they have already in their collection by just purchasing the card deck for the era that they now want to play in.
(I wonder if the Team Yankee line will have Army Unit decks?)
I’ll probably spend some of this weekend re-watching ‘Nam Week’ from the olden days of Beasts of War TV.
Damn, @templar007 – that’s a serious job you have chalked out for yourself there. On your list, I’ve done them all in one form or another except the War of Independence. I actually tried to create some basic The Arab-Israeli Wars scenarios for these battles (Latrun, Ammunition Hill, etc.), but the system has a tough time with forces that irregular. Well, the game works on a technical level, it just isn’t that fun. Let’s face it, no one’s army in that war had a lot of regulation. 😀
Never tried it Valor & Victory, though, or even Force on Force.
@oriskany, that’s a fabulous looking game!
Thanks very much @volleyfireandy – it was actually a rough one for the Marines because of the asymmetrical collateral damage rules.
I think that’s the thing that makes Vietnam so interesting, at least from a gaming perspective. The massively asymmetrical nature of the war, and rules of engagement make it fascinating to read and study.
