Another relaxing afternoon listening/watching some good painting lessons – not bad at all. Now I should get back to doing some writing lol.
Also reminds me I might actually need to finally buy a new fine detail brush lol.
Your voice is soothing to listen to. Can you do a video of the brushes you like to use and the purpose of each brush or best way to use them? It will help us to choose the right things for the right job. Also are some brushes best to just avoid because they suck?
Cheap brushes are best avoided.
Well probably do that as a written article, rather than a video.
For brushes, you’re not really going to see a lot. Although listening to Romain’s dulcet tones would be more pleasant.
“dulcet”… Oh, really, now… Next time i’m in the studio, you’ll call me Ms. Andrews !
@manpug, I always love your questions and interventions. At any rate, an article about paintbrushes is already in the works… So, don’t give up hope !

With time I believe I can paint as well as you and others that grace our minirama.
Truer words never were uttered… You’ll get better than I am, even !
Anyone can.
That’s the whole point.

Another great video. These tutorials have the same calming effect on me as the Bob Ross tv-series of long, long ago. (although Romain is infinitely better than Bob ‘Happy lil’ tree Ross)
Hope you’ll do a tutorial on how to make black minis look interesting. I really struggle with that (Black Legion and Black Templars). Black is such a great colour, but my minis look like they have only been primed black! All that trouble for nothing..
“I’m not making this shit up as I go” haha that cracked me up. It actually made me happy enough to finish my calculus homework after watching this.
Inspiring work indeed. Mr. Romain’s eloquence, based on wide knowledge and erudition make these an absolute joy to watch. The technical expertise needs no pointing out and it shows he loves what he does.
I think this series of videos is some of the BOW’s best in terms of pure quality. Keep it up!
Oh, and the whole ‘shit episode’ was an absolute cracker! 😀
I’m sorry… get over it! 🙂
Why, thank you guys ! Nice words always go right to my heart.
@basetheruin, you’ll get your black tutorial soon, hopefully, depending on the video schedule !

Now I’m REALLY excited. Great!
great work
