Celebrate 30 Years Of Zany Worms With Mantic’s Board Game
July 30, 2026 by brennon
Mantic Games is celebrating thirty years of Worms with the 30th Anniversary Edition of Worms: The Board Game arriving on their website for pre-order ahead of a release in September.
Worms: The Board Game - 30th Anniversary Edition // Mantic Games
With game design by River Horse and Caesar Ink, this two-to-six player board game features all of the zany Worms-style mayhem that you'd expect from the legendary PC game, now on the tabletop. Your Worms will get to fire all of those signature weapons, destroy the landscape, collect crates, dodge hazards and fight until they are the last team standing.

If this already has you interested in the game, we played Worms: The Board Game back when it was in the crowdfunding stage and had a lot of fun with it. You can check out our Let's Play of the game down below...
Let's Play - Worms: The Board Game
The 30th Anniversary Edition of Worms: The Board Game comes with...
- 24 unique 3D Worm miniatures
- Additional weapons and utilities
- Support for up to 6 players
- Expanded landscape tiles for larger battlefields
- New 3D plastic fire markers
...but if you'd prefer to start off smaller, you can still buy the Standard Edition of the game as well from Mantic Games. The Anniversary Edition comes in at £80, whilst the Standard Edition is £50. There is also a deluxe playmat you can pick up for the game, and the Advent gift calendar is a nice additional pick-up.

I think the big selling point for me with the Anniversary Edition is the inclusion of those twenty-four unique Worms miniatures. Having them all armed with some of the iconic weapons from the game is a nice touch, especially with the additional customisation options like the hats and such. It should add to the look of the game when it's on the tabletop and you're blowing your friends up.
Could you be tempted to snap up the Anniversary Edition of the game?
