Mighty New Sons Of Behemat Pre-Orders For Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
September 7, 2026 by brennon
Warhammer Age of Sigmar will welcome the new Sons of Behamat miniatures this weekend as pre-orders go live for a new character, new "troops" and more for those wanting to play as Gargants in their games set in the Mortal Realms.
Ma Maegran - Chooser of the Mighty // Warhammer Age of Sigmar
We start with the new character in the form of Ma Maegran - Chooser of the Mighty. She is a witch amongst the ranks of the Gargants and her title of Chooser of the Mighty comes from her ability to bestow blessings on those Gargants that she believes are worthy of such an honour. As a spellcaster, she's also going to let the Sons of Behemat have some fun with magic for once!
The awesome Ma Maegran is then flanked by two Ancient Ghyrochs who will stop anyone from getting too close to their mistress. A brilliant new miniature set which harks back to the days of campaigning in Albion whilst also adding some more background to the Ghur and its beasts.
New Gargants
As well as the new character, you will also be able to get your big meaty hands on reinforcements in the form of this dual-use plastic kit.
Boss-stompers // Warhammer Age of Sigmar
This set allows you to build the Boss-stompers (above) who are eager to get into the heart of the action and kick the teeth in of the most dangerous of foes and champions that the enemy might want to throw at you. By all means, let them, I say! I can imagine a fair few Stormcast Eternals hoping for a swift reforging should one of these start swinging for them.
The set also allows you to build the Rock-hurlers (below), who are a new ranged option for your Sons of Behemat.
Rock-hurlers // Warhammer Age of Sigmar
These Gargants prefer to stay at a distance and smash their enemies with big pieces of rock, ruined sections of fortress and whatever else they can get their hands on. Interestingly, the three Rock-hurlers also make up the new Spearhead army for the Sons of Behemat that you'll find within the pages of the new Battletome.
Hail The Stomper Tribe!
If you want to have a focal point for your Sons of Behemat, then there is also the option for the Stomper Tribe Army of Renown, rules for which you'll find within the new Battletome too.
Stomper Tribe // Warhammer Age of Sigmar
This set focuses on a Warstomper Mega-Gargant and three Mancrusher Gargants, creating the narrative of three of these "smaller" Gargants following in the destructive wake of the towering Warstomper. As an Army of Renown, this also comes with a bunch of additional boons and rules that you can use to play a focused army in your games of Warhammer Age of Sigmar.
If you want to use this as a good way to buy a bunch of Gargants, then that also works. The Warstomper can be built as the Kraken-eater or the Gatebreaker and the three Mancrushers come with a load of options, so you can create some really nice Gargants for your army.
Brawlers of Behemat Mini-Game
In addition to the Stomper Tribe being a good way to get some miniatures in a bundle, you can also pre-order Brawlers of Behemat, Games Workshop's new "mini-game" featuring a pair of burly Gargants.
Brawlers of Behemat // Warhammer Age of Sigmar
Brawlers of Behemat is an easy-to-learn game where each player takes on the role of one of these impressive Mega-Gargants. Do you go with the Warstomper, Gatebreaker or the Kraken-eater? Play as one of these snarling monsters and smash your way through some new Embergard terrain at the same time.
New Rules & Accessories
All of this leads to the new Battletome for the Sons of Behemat, which contains all of the updated rules for running the Sons of Behemat on the battlefield in games of Warhammer Age of Sigmar.
Sons of Behemat - Battletome // Warhammer Age of Sigmar
The new Battletome explores the place of the Sons of Behemat in the Mortal Realms and their activities in Ghur. You'll find the new rules for your miniatures, battle traits, a set of Path to Glory rules and the new Spearhead force that we mentioned earlier.
There is also the pocket-sized Gamer's Edition of the Battletome, which comes with the bonus Warscroll Cards. There is also a set of Warscroll Cards available separately alongside some neat-looking dice.
Sons of Behemat Warscroll Cards & Dice // Warhammer Age of Sigmar
All of this will be available for you to pre-order this weekend, so you won't have long to wait before the Sons of Behemat descend on the Mortal Realms with renewed vigour and a taste for battle. Whilst it is easy to just say that the Sons of Behemat are the "Imperial Knights" of Warhammer Age of Sigmar, for some reason, I feel like they fit better into the battles and the scale of warfare you see in-game. Maybe that's just my bias towards Warhammer Age of Sigmar showing!
What do you think?
