It isn’t necessary to wash plastic or metal to be honest as most metal casts are done with force and generally don’t need release agents. As your using plastic and metal minis their is no need to pre seal the minis so forget about matt varnish first. I would recommend a good latex primer in […]

If it is resin e.g forgeworld a useful tip I found was to apply a layer of matt varnish to the mini after washing it down then start with primers etc it has made a massive difference to my models

Black undercoat
Burnt Umber
then some orange brown
and then a dry brush of your metal of choice in selected areas
