About the Project
Over the year I’ve been dabbling with my City States army but now its time to pull it all together. When I painted my Hundred Kingdoms army I kept them quite gritty but I want these to look like the shiny new kids on the block so I’m going to attempt to use the more poppy speed paints to really set them apart. It does mean I have to be more careful as I can’t really on drybrushes and washes to bale me out!

Needed some objective markers for todays mission so I broke out the blue foam, modge podge, soldering iron and some sand!Unfortunately the beers flowed too quickly for me to keep a detailed report but her are some images from the battle. Mission was to destroy 4 objectives and the City States came out on top in the end!

Now for another unit where I didn’t take pictures of all the steps as I rushed them to get ready for a First Blood game.
I need another unit so I’ll add in the other steps when I get them done.
Time for the BIG GUN! The Promethean Giant!
Now this chap was painted last year as soon as he came out. I got too excited to wait and as such forgot to record the painting steps.
To be honest he’s not that different than the speed paints I’ve used for the standard guys in the army.

Full disclosure this guy was painted when he came out last year as I was to excited to wait. Because of that I did forget to do the paint pictures so it’s just the finished images. You can pretty much work out the speed paints used as it’s in line with the basic guys!

Hoping to get back on track after finally losing my hobby space to this little weasel. It’s back to cupboards and kitchen tables for me!
Bases painted up with some Zandri Dust, now it’s just a case of touching up any missed areas. Also I think the skin may need a little bit of highlighting, beige anyone?The elite Agema
Next up it’s time for some Elite troops and it’s the sword and board wielding Agema. I want these to look more menacing so I think I’m going to go with black cloaks.
