Cadre of Mesme Ukos Refresh

It’s slow work getting the yellow brown just right. I like it to be a nice solid colour which takes several coats and try to get as smooth a finish as possible which means thinning my paint but I have to careful not to go too thin as I want the crisp edges to show off the black lines on the finished tanks.
mistakes are inevitable so once this colour is done I will be touching up all the runs and smudges so I get those crisp lines and so the red areas will be applied on black with no smudges of yellow to muddy the colour.

I usually check & touch up black after every other colour cause I’m way too picky.

I might have accidentally fallen for the new twin suits and may or may not have asked my Local Gameshop to procure me a box…

My son put them together for me (I love painting but despair at building kits, I can never get the poses right). Here they are all sprayed and about to head to the cabinet to meet their new colleagues.

I picked up this guy second hand at Vapnartak this year and couldn’t wait to get paint on him.

I used the turbo dork colour shift paint on his wings which is a new find for me.

I made a little fairy orb from a glass tea light candle holder & my freebooter fairies.

So a lovely thing happened! Turns out people liked my fae diorama, thank you for such lovely comments.

Squad 1 fully painted. No more running about in their underwear.

This unit are the first models I ever assembled and include two I named. Colon (scratching his butt) and Nobby (nicked all the extra gear) Named for Terry Pratchett characters.
