Related Games:
This is my last batch of minis for 2018: some 1930s civilians. These will do as scenario pieces for WW2 and VBCW. They’re from Footsore Miniatures and they’re bloody nice. There are two sets: town and country people. The first five are the town folk: a schoolboy; woman about town; and various lads in suits.

And from the country, a couple of labourers; schoolgirl; old battleaxe and my personal favourite – the priest (who looks very familiar – more of this sort of thing!)

lovely stuff. I’m a big fan of Bill’s sculpts, I even picked up some of the IRA figures to use as 1920s gangster types/Sealion british troops
These are superb, not a weak sculpt to be seen. I’ve a squad of socialists done a while back and have a few more things to throw at this project-that’s-not-a-project.
And now with added me wittering on about it:
Neat video . Very nice looking figures . The town lads look very much like the younger platoon members of Dad’s Army in civy attire . ( just binged watch a couple of seasons worth so its on my mind at the moment ) . The whole group might also work as towns folk for a ” Eagle Has Landed ” type game .
Cheers Cromwell. I still have those Dad’s Army minis sat in their box. I really ought to get them painted!
They really look great, well done!
Some more additions, this time the Enemy Agents set from Warlord Games:
Here we have our raincoated spy chap and some tweedy posho with a case:

And here are Warlord’s sculptors having a laugh. Very identifiably German with their jackboots and stickbombs.

And finally, not part of the set but a couple of partisans that will fit nicely with my workers’ militia – and got me over Warlord’s free postage threshold 🙂

I’m having a great time painting these.
Very nice and I love the figures too, they are sculpted by Paul Hick. I think they are some of the best civies on the market. I am a big fan of Very British Civil War
Thanks @panzerkaput I’m having an absolute blast with Footsore and this setting.
Some more … eccentric minis from Warlord Games. This time it’s the Allied minis from Operation Sea Lion from Warlord.

Kicking off with an agent, copper and air raid warden.

A couple of squaddies and a boy scout(!)

And some smart lasses at the end (one’s face is a bit washed out in the photo, she’s a lot better in the flesh, as it were).
I love these minis from Warlord. Their sculptors must be having a great time.
There’s also me banging on about them on the telly, if you like that sort of thing:
