The Bone Hunters Gang Joins Wild West Dead Man’s Hand

Great Escape Games recently added a new set of Bone Hunters to their range for Dead Man's Hand, the awesome 28mm scale Wild West skirmish game. See what you make of these old fossils who are out hunting, err, old fossils?

The Bone Hunters are after a different kind of fortune. It sets them apart from your bandits and vagabonds that ride the dusty trails of the Wild West. Even with no traditional treasure in the equation, they will stake their claim and defend it as stalwartly as any seam of glimmering gold.

In Dead Man's Hand, the Bone Hunters are experts at turning their fossil hunting skills to their advantage in a gunfight. They are precise and prepared, making them a rather dangerous foe to face, even when they are lugging around a big pile of old bones.

They are also on the side of the law and will make sure that they join the local Marshal in his defence of a township or hard-done-by frontier camp. The set comes with seven metal miniatures alongside their rule cards, faction cards, plus the Bone Hunters' very own Bone Markers, which will be handy for your games.
Woe betide any bandit or varmint who decides to try and make off with their treasures. They belong in a museum! I think this is a great and characterful set that should get you thinking about all sorts of different scenarios to play out on the tabletop.
You could put together a good three-act scenario where they uncover the bones, have to race them back to town and then fight off a bandit attack by bandits who want to steal them for some nefarious local landowner who wants them for his collection.
