North Star Preview Final Venetians For New The Silver Bayonet Book
September 9, 2026 by brennon
North Star Military Figures dropped their final preview of the new miniatures coming soon to support the new The Silver Bayonet supplement, Venice: The Alchemist's Legacy.
Venetians // The Silver Bayonet
The final set of miniatures for this supplement eluded us last time we looked at them. We got a peek at the forces of the Vatican and the Italians (below) but we didn't get to see how the Venetians were shaking out for this new collection.
I think they are looking great and continue to bridge that gap between the Historical and the slightly fantastical. I really like that they have stuck with the theme of masks throughout the group, covering those of noble birth and those who want to disguise their identity for more nefarious means. Thinking about it, I'm fairly sure that all of these fellows are nefarious.
My favourites from the set are definitely the Doctor, who has decided the only cure is a pistol shot, and the Occulist, who probably has all sorts of things going on behind the mask.
As mentioned, the other warbands are the Italians...

...and the forces of the Vatican. If you'd like to know more about them and the new expansion for The Silver Bayonet, you can check out the previous article HERE.

Are you going to be delving back into The Silver Bayonet with The Alchemist's Legacy, or will this be your first time exploring what this Napoleonic Horror skirmish game has to offer? If you're someone who has been on the edge of trying something related to Historical wargaming, The Silver Bayonet is a good bridge between what you're used to playing and this Napoleonic period. You also don't have to paint big armies!
What do you think of these new miniatures?
