Thanks man, ive been looking for stuff to add to my black reach set. I dont play yet, but i buy cheap ork lots when i find em on ebay. Thanks for the review!
I see Darrell’s up to his old tricks when building models. This time the guy with the chain has 2 right arms 🙂
yeah seen that lmfao
I winced as I saw it…
BoW Romain
he was just showing the mad dok had been around 😛
I built them after a long liquid lunch. Anyway who would not want two right arms
A left handed ork?
At 1:23 he says that the power klaws have destroyed his monolith many times, when then shouldn’t be able to because i thought the monolith disallows the benefits from war gear that increases strength and disallows extra dice from melta, ordnance and monstrous creatures and the armour value cannot be reduced because of a lance.
I’m pretty sure the Monolith only allows you to ever roll 1D6+Strength for penetration. It has no effect on things that increase the actual strength of the attacking model, just stops you rolling bonus dice on top of that. And you can still roll 2D6 when using Ordnance against it as well, as you pick the highest so technically are still only using 1D6+Strength.
I think you are thinking of the previous codex. The new living metal rules allow the monolith (and other necron vehicles) to ignore shaken (on a 2+) and stunned (on a 4+) results.
Sorry, just saw the date on this. Damn RSS feed letting me think this was a new video.
I actually was curious to see the bases this time around 😀
Why did I watch this video, now I want to build some Ork Bikes even though I do not have an Ork army 🙂
Thanks guys, they look quite a deadly unit as nobs
Had a couple of these but sold them. They are really cool and have a lot of little cool details everywhere, but compared to the old bikes the’re huge, in fact my 3 year olds toys are smaller than these bikes. Wich makes the gameboard feel even smaller and more crowded. Not to mention the fact that it feels silly moving them around when they are that big, or has GW lowered the age for 40k to 3+?
You think those are big? The Forge World Nob Bikerz and Ork Warboss on Warbike http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-40000/Orks/ORK-WARBOSS-ON-WARBIKE.html
are on their way for my b-day.
Dr. Darrell, thanks for this great video (as always) – can you go into more detail about how the nobs can be set up differently? My plan is to run 5 or 6. 1 of the mob would be Wazdakka Gutsmek – another a Painboy with a grot orderly, then the remaining 3 or 4 would be “bog standard” arse-kicking Nobs. How can I kit those Nobs so they are each different enough to ‘spread the wounds’? I’m talking maximum cheese here, I admit it.
Thanks again for your advice and your site – you all have been a huge source of info and inspiration!
hey got a question here: Is it not legal to just not use the bases and play with the bikers as is?
I thought you could only upgrade 1 Warbiker to a Nob, and only he could take a power klaw. I’m only new to the game so if I’m wrong can you let me know.
You are right if you look at the warbike entry in the codex. But the Nobz entry says a mob of nobz can have bikes as an upgrade. That why you could have 10 nobz on bikes.
