Wood Elf Forest Dragon
Back in the day I had this model. I didn’t play Warhammer much at the time, but I loved to paint. I painted just the head of this dragon. I think it was one of if not the first white metal models I owned. I likely traded it for painting services or for £40 for a wood elf army that had it (I also remember having a lot of Treemen and Dryads as well).
This in my humble opinion of 30 year younger me was the best model (part) I had ever painted. I never finished it. I gave it to a friend who i think still had it in a loft. I seen a recasting run from GW and picked this up again. As a dragon, it’s poor by modern day standards but it’s at the same time one of the most dynamic models of its time as well.
So, I got it started to paint, 3d printed a holder for the Redgrass handle to manage it. Then I painted the head and it sat on my desk again.
I picked it up again after the last model here and part forced myself to finish it. It’s dynamic, however also a pain in the ass to assemble and paint. So many undersides to paint, made me feel like Michelangelo at times.
This is also difficult to photograph as well due to this. I done my best, but I don’t think the pictures do it justice.

Bah! Color me jealous. That’s a fine paint job that does justice to the model. I will accept the heat from saying “This is a great model as it doesn’t have the Goblin Green base”. There, I said it on record.
