Epic Zulu is tempting. Anglo Zulu war has always been on the list of future projects.
What’s this? A wargame for ants?
They would have to be at least three times as big to fit!

The warlord Zulu war sets are very tempting. I’m a Welshman raised from youth on Zulu, and Zulu dawn, to the point where I’m a ‘friend’ of the Brecon museum thanks to a life time of frequent visits. Thing is, I’m currently knee deep in armoured clash Empire and Crown sprus, with a wish list that includes the forthcoming Raj sets. I’m not sure I can justify a 13mm Zulu war range when I already have little red men in white helmets in 6mm, 20mm and 8mm Dystopian. Then again may if I go 13mm then 28mm maybe some quantum alignment happens or something…..how much red paint can one mortal purchase in one lifetime. It’s one for me to ponder but they do look smart as paint them pre-release pics. A very happy weekender all and to all a happy weekender.
I’ve got the lot for the Zulu War in 28mm. You can’t make me do it again in Diminutive 15mm no matter how amazing cool it all looks, and just for the record it does look amazingly cool 🙂
I’d rather think about those lovely Conquest minis and the beautiful Signum fantasy starter sets.

Oh dear those Battle March sets are tempting me back to the Workshop side.
When I saw the announcement of epic Zulu, I was wandering why they were using photo’s with the 28mm models. Well the joke’s on me. It is a logical step to do Zulu in the epic scale. I have seen enough comments over the years that doing Rorke’s Drift in 28mm is insane.
Good to see GW making sets to get people into Old World but I would have liked to see updated models. I think the appeal would be better as well.
Para Bellum is bringing out some great stuff.
really not sure about Hoxfall, it sounds interesting, but just goes back to that discussion of board games that require an app, except with the addition this time of what if the company stop producing the tech bits, or collapses completely and your parts stop working. Youre then left with a big expensive board game you can no longer play
The zulu stuff is cool, very tempted, and the plastics look much better than the plastics for the other epic battles stuff (which is why i went 3d printed for epic hail caesar). I do wish theyde expand their existing epic battles stuff as well to cover more stuff within each period, i.e. imperial rome, or ancient greece for hail caesar etc

One can only hope there is an open source equivalent before that company collapses or decides it’s no longer worth the effort to produce it.
The simple fact that they’ve somehow ‘improved’ the dice already indicates that they will have many stealth updates, which won’t make life easier.
Zulu, perhaps the game to get my dad into gaming in his mid-seventies.

For the entire of the Zulu segment you may as well have replaced Ben with a bot that says, “Yes Gerry” every few seconds and he could have gone and got a cuppa. He really wasn’t needed for that bit.
