New Hyperthermal Supplement Details Drop For Infinity Fans

Corvus Belli has dropped more details and previews of the new Hyperthermal supplement coming to their 28mm-scale Sci-Fi wargame, Infinity. You'll be able to dive into a new book and pick up some excellent miniatures when the pre-orders go live at the end of September.

We start with the actual Hyperthermal supplement itself...

"185 years in the future, Shinju is a geopolitical powder keg whose control can alter the balance of power in the Human Sphere. This expansion book for Infinity delves deeper into the current situation unfolding within the Human Sphere around the Hyperthermal Affair. There is more background for Haqqislam and ALEPH but also the Imperial Service of Yu Jing, the Corregidor of the Nomads and the Next Wave for the Combined Army. This will also introduce Non-Aligned Armies (NA2) mercenaries.

There is a full chapter dedicated to Infinity Spec-Ops, which relaunches the expansion for fans of the game. This allows you to dive into the construction of customisable and elite Spec-Ops agents for use in your Infinity fireteams.

There will also be a set of new artwork and miniature photography in the book to inspire you, as well as three painting tutorials. Capping things off, there is a short narrative campaign that drops you right into the heart of the Hyperthermal Affair so you can recreate these lore events alongside your Spec-Ops troopers.

New Spec-Ops Miniatures

As well as the new book, you'll also be able to pick up a bunch of great miniatures for various factions. We start with the Gui Fend Spec-Ops for Yu Jing.

Gui Feng Spec-Ops // Infinity

The Gui Feng Spec-Ops, the Phantom Wind, sweeps through the Human Sphere and is adept at delving into undercover operations behind enemy lines. They will get their hands dirty and keep politicians and diplomats away from all of that terrible business going on behind the scenes. They also look like super cool dudes with funky "shades" and slicked-back hair, so they must be awesome at parties.

The set comes with the Gui Feng with MULTI Sniper Rifle or MULTI Rifle and a Gui Feng Heavy with HMG or MULTI Rifle. You also get the Men Tong SpecBot. Don't get that spelling wrong when you're looking up how they work on Google...

Switching over to the Combined Army, we have the Nexus-7 Spec-Ops.

Nexus-7 Spec-Ops // Infinity

This elite group of operatives come from Etteoklia Seven and will do whatever they must in order to return to their forbidden homeland. This is an exceptionally difficult goal but the Nexus-7 view impossible as merely the next challenge. They are a fearsome alien pair that epitomises why you should, at some point, pick up some Combined Army miniatures for your Infinity collection, even if you're just going to be painting them.

The set comes with a Nexus-7 with MULTI Rifle or Breaker Pistol and a Nexus-7 Heavy with HRL or HMG. You also get another SpecBot in this set in the form of the Voldron 401.

Moving on to PanOceania, we have the Indigo Spec-Ops for when the shiny "good guys" of the Human Sphere need to go clandestine.

Indigo Spec-Ops // Infinity

Blue is the colour of PanOceania and it is a colour associated with freedom, democracy and optimism. So, when the Indigo Spec-Ops are deployed, they sneak through the shadows in a darker shade. As Corvus Belli mentioned, Indigo is the colour of the ocean depths and the roaring, tempestuous seas. This is the dark side of PanOceania represented with high-tech equipment and lethal skills to match.

This set comes with an Indigo with HMG or MULTI Rifle, and then the Indigo Heavy with MULTI Rifle or HMG. You also get the third of the SpecBots here with the adorable Blueberry. Beware the little shiny robot with a fierce complex.
