Games Workshop is expanding its collection of new 28mm plastic range for the Tomb Kings of Khemri, adding more Skeleton Horsemen. This gives those new to the Tomb Kings an impressive collection of plastic figures to make an army for Warhammer: The Old World.

Skeleton Horsemen - Warhammer The Old World

Skeleton Horsemen // Warhammer: The Old World

This new multi-part plastic kit contains enough bits to create ten cavalry miniatures that can be built as either Skeleton Horsemen or Skeleton Horse Archers. Your Horsemen can be armed with either spears or swords to go with their shields and they have a range of heads for you to choose from.

As with all of the new Tomb Kings miniatures, Games Workshop's sculptors seem to have done a great job of giving the Tomb Kings a militaristic look, setting them apart from the more shambling hordes that you might see amongst the ranks of the Vampire Counts. I think it works really well and gives the Tomb Kings a unique feel.

The Skeleton Horsemen can also be turned into dangerous Horse Archers, firing from the back of their steeds as they charge across the desert.

These regiments can be run as a single unit of ten or two smaller units of five if you're playing Battle March or just want more manoeuvrable skirmishers on the flanks of your army. As with all Old World boxes, this also comes with enough components for you to add in command elements like a champion, musician and banner bearer.

The Skeleton Horsemen and Archers are going to be coming soon, following the big new plastic army packed with skeletal warriors, archers and chariots. This means that only the classic Settra comes with the old horses! Quite the feat.

Are you going to be adding these new Skeleton Horsemen into your Tomb Kings army?
