Tagged: #competition #fun #silly
Welcome to the next great addition (hopefully not last) of monthly painting competitions (PaintComp) here in the forums. Taking a page from @warbossd gaming club book as inspiration there will be a key word or phrase set at the start of the month and anybody who likes to participates paints something up, builds something or what ever creative outlet strikes them
Then, not later than the 25th of each month you post your results here (not in the project system!) and we all get to do a community vote on it!
There are no prizes involved, only fun! It’s not mandatory. It’s just for fun.
The secret word of the month is:
Chonky
Chonky. I had a feeling what it meant, but double checked. I might actually have something, assuming you mean overweight.
Oh I got me a chonky Nurgle beasty…
I think I have a couple of models I can paint for this theme.
I’ll have a look later today and decide which one I’m going to paint.
Here is my first entry (I hope) of this month. I’m also working a quite bigger miniature which I hope to finish in time.
This is a 3d printed model from the Warhamster Kickstarter by Apache Studio: BATHAMSTER.

Here’s my entry and a link to associated project entry for the painting recipe.

Nicely done folks. Good to see some early entries this month. Here’s mine. A 240mm tall Harryhausen Cyclops by X-Plus Models. He’s the biggest thing I’ve ever painted for a wargame so I hope that qualifies as chonky.

Here he is with my party of adventurers for Warriors of Athena. Not easy to photograph. Further details on my project:
Nice Harryhausen piece @zoidpinhead – he thin, but big, so “chonky”?
My piece needs a few more sessions. It’s coming along. He REALLY CHONKY.
@grantinvanman You can tell him he isn’t chonky enough if you like. I’m not going to 😀
And I finished my entry today!
Chonky Festus the Leechlord, in his best chonky form on chonky slug-mount. Enjoy …

Great to see all these chonky figures get chucked onto the thread. Here is my own big boy to add to the mess.
