I’m struggling to paint my orcs. Can’t tell my armour straps from my cloth ripples and I seem to need atleast 3 clothing colours so I’m not finding a colour scheme to my pwn tastes.
But this is not a complaint, more a plea for suggestions. I love mantics cheap plastics and have over 100 plastic models painted from the indead range.
I had trouble painting my dwarves to be honest – didn’t seem to be much of a clear distinction between layers on the model, but I worked it out eventually.
now was it urls or imgs…i’ll put both, sorry for any ugly codes.

Or even the direct link >.>

I can’t wait to get some of these orcs. These guys look rather good. I personally want the Morax’s.
OK Manic orcs and undead are cool. Does Mantic have any kind of fluff? I think the fluff is a big part of what gets the thing going. That was one thing that I disliked about Dwarf Kings Hold, dwarfs chop skeletons, thats all! no Characters, nothing.
Mantic has kept the fluff to the most basic generic fantasy settings to allow the players and fans to develop a scene over time.
An orc will always be an orc, afterall.
I’m writing some Mantic fluff as we speak, starting a bit of fanfiction up for my Dwarf clan.
Problem with fluff is that they may be limited in what they can write due to GW copyright infringements…. maybe just a theory
I know GW are not exactly flavour of the month but implying their linked to everything seems far-fetched lol. GW can’t stop people making up fantasy stories involving elves or orks or dwarves, since these ideas were around long before GW. I mean someone even wrote this little set of books about them and everything…..
As tony88 said Mantic are writing bare-bones fluff and leaving it to the players to fill it in themselves. They may do more in time since they’ve only been at it for a relatively short time but until then we’ll have to dust of out imagination caps and wing it….
Ugh who neg rep’ed everything? Boldy old ultramarines!
Nice to know me being creative got me negative rep lol – wonderful, and this response will ALSO get me neg rep too most likely lol.
I don’t know who did that, it was quite unfair. More to the point, I think those Mantic figures are getting better !
BoW Romain
these are a fantastic replacement for gamesworkshop figures 😛
Are they?
Warhammer Orcs do not use halberds or doublehanded weapons: apart from Black Orks who wear heavy armour :p
Going to paint my Mantic Dwarves tomorrow I think, post up some pictures later – I so hope we get some of these models in a Dwarf King’s Hold expansion so I can enjoy the Orc goodness!
Look amazing as always. A great refreshment from the usual cartoony Orks out of GW.
