Stuff what I been painting
September
I got a lot painted this month but most of it is not finished as it is awaiting basing, so hopefully October will show real progress.
This month, I’ve knocked off two larger pieces (which in my stats only reduce the pile by two – I don’t count size). First up, we have medieval cottage.
Next a 3D printed portal. Not sure what I’m going to use this for but some handy terrain to slap down for a 28mm fantasy game.
Finally I completed the models from the front of Wargames Illustrated a few months back. We have two gladiators and their owners. Wargames Atlantic make the models and these are for the Blood on the Sands game that is due out next year. I thought I’d use these models to practice speed paints on. I’m struggling to get a result I like with the speed paints at the moment and I can’t figure out where I’m going wrong – perhaps my expectations are too high. Still, I’ll keep practicing.
And turning to the numbers, nothing bought this month, so a straight reduction of 6. Or a 0.6% reduction of the pile of potential. I’ll take solace from the fact that Rome wasn’t built in a day. Or if you’re Lloyd, ever.
